This is a series of paintings I completed for 2nd year. They are portraits of people that have a strong sense of self and of their style. I was influenced by fashion illustration and of course, by the people I painted. I enjoyed the challenges of painting on old clothes, stretched on the canvas. For, the more worn pieces of fabric, although required an insane amount layered acrilic, the textures were really fun to work with. "Ali" was published in the Langara Fine Arts Grad Show catalogue for 2007.
